Marek Baran, Associate Professor at the University of Łódź, is a linguist who will give the opening talk at the conference entitled “Stay Strong, Champ; You’ll Get Through This… God Is With You”: between the Explicit and the Implicit in the Expression of comfort” ("Ánimo, campeón; saldrás adelante... Dios está contigo": entre lo explícito y lo implícito en la expresión del consuelo). His most recent monographs include La vie en rose.
