International Congress “New Horizons in the Spanish-Speaking World: Linguistics, Didactics, and Literature”
The International Congress “New Horizons in the Spanish-Speaking World: Linguistics, Didactics, and Literature”, to be held at Vilnius University, Lithuania, invites reflection on new approaches, considering the diversity of voices, identities, and experiences that shape the plurality of Spanish and Spanish-speaking cultures. Language is understood as a social phenomenon, and the congress aims to promote interdisciplinarity and provide a space for dialogue on the impact of globalization and digitalization on the current research landscape.
In line with this multidimensional view of language, the congress will feature papers that highlight the diverse social, political, historical, and cultural dimensions that shape the complex reality of the contemporary Spanish-speaking community. Under the motto “new horizons”, this first edition of the congress in Vilnius University invites participants to rethink research approaches in the Spanish-speaking context from a transversal perspective, aiming to respond to the social, technological, and ideological transformations of our time.
